Health Sciences Education Leadership Certificate

A Solution for Educators to meet new CAPTE requirements.

Rehab Essentials Inc. is pleased to announce an exciting new physical therapy education leadership resource.  This is a solution for PTA program directors as they prepare to meet the new leadership requirements set forth in CAPTE’s PTA Education Standards and Required Elements.

Rehab Essentials, Inc. has developed a 12 credit, graduate certificate in Health Sciences Education Leadership to prepare you to meet these new expectation.  The certificate program:

  • Consists of four, on-line graduate courses of 3 credits each
  • Addresses the key foundational requirements of education theory and methods, instructional design, student, faculty and program assessment and concepts in education leadership.
  • Has been developed by experts in physical therapy education leadership for leaders in physical therapy education
  • And, culminates in the achievement of a graduate certificate awarded by a public university.

Featured Faculty

Michael J. Emery

Dr. Michael Emery was the founding DPT program director of the physical therapy program at Sacred Heart University, which also included undergraduate and graduate programs in athletic training and exercise science.  
He established a physical therapy faculty practice at Sacred Heart University and implemented two ABPTRFE certified PT residency programs.
