Rehab Essentials in collaboration with the University of Montana is pleased to announce a new partnership with Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation School of Physical Therapy. This partnership will allow Filipino physical therapists that are residing in the Philippines an opportunity to advance their professional education to the Doctorate level at a cost that is proportional to the market differential between the US and the Philippines.
With this partnership, a PT that is licensed and resides within the
Philippines can apply and enroll in the transitional Doctor in
Physical Therapy (tDPT) program at the University of Montana.
As long as the applicant meets the requirements set forth, they
may matriculate through the tDPT curriculum towards the end
goal attaining their DPT. All courses taken through this program
are accredited graduate level courses. While the tDPT
coursework will assist toward the fulfillment of the educational
requirements toward US licensure, it does not guarantee a US
license. All PT’s seeking US PT licensure, must comply
with all steps outlined by the FSBPT.
This partnership is the first step to Rehab Essentials' goal of improving global health and standards. Providing access to continuing education and advanced degrees for providers is a crucial step to improving societal health. With this endeavor, we hope to continue to improve the ability and accessibility of quality healthcare globally.
As a benefit to the Philippines, this curriculum would educate and empower the Filipino PT’s to pursue independent practices as a means of growing the profession.
